My name is Timo and I am 14 years old. I am an exchange student from the United Kingdom. I have come to Germany to meet new people, to speak more German and to learn more about German culture and way of life. In many ways, Germany is different from the UK. Firstly, the school day in Germany is much shorter (from 7:45 – 1:00) but it starts much earlier than in the UK (9:00 – 3:30). In the UK we have 5 lessons a day. I prefer the German school system because the lessons are much more foccused and you learn much more in a lesson. In the UK, all the houses are much duller and the landscape if very grey. In Germany, all the houses are very neat, colourful and modern. I like Germany a bit more than the UK, but the UK is my home.
